Honda Accord Windshield Replacement Cost

The Honda Accord’s consistent evolution and outstanding performance make it one of the best cars period. It combines sophistication, efficiency, and endurance. Still, no vehicle is 100% immune to auto glass damage. When rock chips, cracks or severe weather damage happen, the wise thing to do is have your windshield replaced.

Now, I know how annoying unexpected car damages can be, especially if you’re on a monthly budget and you have zero idea how much autoshops charge for such a service. That’s why I spent a good amount of time calling real auto shops requesting quotes. Mind you, I didn’t just call a few shops here and there. Instead, I picked locations all over the United States to get a good idea of how location impacts the average price of the windshield replacement. I’ve made sure that all this data is carefully researched, accurate, and up to date, so you can work out your budgeting without worrying that you’re missing something.

Below, you’ll find the results of my research, a list of the average prices to replace an Honda Accord windshield depending on the model year, with notes on how that price changes between different locations. I hope my information will give you a good idea of how much you can expect to spend when you go to fix your own car’s windshield!

Replacement Cost – Factors

Part of the reason it’s so difficult to predict how much it will cost to replace your windshield is that there are many factors at play. You need to understand what variables impact the price, or your estimate for how much you’ll spend could be way off. I’ve actually talk a lot more about how these factors might affect the price of windshield replacement here but here’s a quick overview:

  • Location: Depending on where you live, competition and demand can drive up the starting price for the job.

  • Autoshop: Individual autoshops get to set their own prices. Chains and family businesses rarely have the same prices for the same job.

  • Model Year: The model year of your vehicle is a huge factor in price. Unless you’re talking about luxury cars, older models tend to be more affordable.

  • Labor: Labor refers to how much work goes into replacing a windshield. Some windshields may be more difficult to replace, which increases the labor price.

  • Special Features: If you want any special features on your windshield, this will make the price go up.

  • Windshield Manufacturer: Just like with any other industry, not all manufacturers sell their products for the same price. The specific manufacturer you select will determine the price of the windshield itself.

  • Insurance: Depending on your insurance policy, insurance may be able to cover the windshield replacement, which will lower the price.

Honda Accord Windshield Replacement Cost

As I’ve mentioned, the cost of your Honda Accord windshield replacement will be largely influenced by the model year of your Honda, with location being a secondary factor. To make it easy for you, I’ve sorted my list below by model year, with a table of the average window replacement price in a selection of popular US cities included for each year.

2021 Honda Accord

Unsurprisingly, the 2021 Honda Accord tends to be the most expensive in terms of windshield replacement costs, largely because it’s the newest model.

While researching, I discovered that, on average, if you own a 2021 Honda Accord, it’s going to cost you a little over $600 to have your windshield replaced. The lowest windshield replacement cost for a 2021 Honda Accord was $384 in Washington, DC. On the other hand, the most expensive price for the service was in Greensboro, NC – $1,073.

With the 2022 Honda Accord, the price situation is absolutely the same as the 2021 Honda Accord. Expect around $600 on average for a windshield replacement. My research also showed me that it’s cheaper to replace your windshield in Washington, DC – it’s going to cost you $384. In Greensboro, NC, however, the price can go above $1,000.

Conclusion

As you can see, depending on the model year of your Honda Accord and your location, (plus a bunch of other factors), the cost of windshield replacement can definitely vary. The good news is that it’s highly unlikely to spend over $1000 for a windshield replacement regardless of which state you live in.

I hope that my little research gave you a good idea of what to expect should an accident happen and you have to replace your windshield. Remember, safety should be your number one priority and if an unlucky stone found its way on your windshield and left a hole, now’s probably not the time to be stingy.
